Marie Osmond Feels 'Blessed' to Have 'Worked With' Lucille Ball

When you think of Marie Osmond, the first thing that probably comes to mind is her incredible partnership with her brother, Donny Osmond. But guess what? This iconic "Paper Roses" singer has had the chance to rub shoulders with some of the greatest legends in the entertainment world. And let me tell you, her story is one that will leave you in awe.

An Exclusive Chat with Marie Osmond

Marie Osmond, now a vibrant 60 years young, opened up to Closer Weekly in an exclusive interview. She shared how fortunate she feels to have worked with some of the most legendary figures in show business. "I have worked with the greats," she said with a wide smile. "I mean, I have been so incredibly blessed." It’s not every day you get to say you've shared the stage with the likes of John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, the legendary Bob Hope, Ethel Merman, Lucille Ball, and even the original cast of Charlie’s Angels — Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith.

Sharing the Spotlight with the Greats

Marié, who co-hosts The Talk, expressed how mind-blowing it is to have been part of such a star-studded lineup. “It’s almost surreal,” she said, reflecting on her career. “You’re standing there, and these are the people who shaped the industry. It’s like being in a dream. I mean, John Wayne? Frank Sinatra? These are the legends who paved the way for everyone else.”

    Marie’s Girl Power Moments

When it comes to working with the ladies in the industry, Marie is all about the girl power. “I loved working with the ladies because I watched them all get ready, OK?” she joked, reminiscing about the decades she spent in the industry. “I know all their secrets — but I will never write the book.” Her experiences with these powerful women have shaped her into the confident and self-assured person she is today. “It’s so funny how you’re hard on yourself,” she said. “But you learn a lot about self-worth and self-esteem. It doesn’t matter if your show is popular. I was standing by these beautiful women, and I just learned so much watching them.”

    Who’s Marie’s Favorite?

Now, here’s the big question: Does Marie have a favorite? You bet she does, and it’s none other than the legendary Lucille Ball, the creator and star of I Love Lucy. Lucille made an appearance on season 3, episode 2 of the Donny & Marie variety show, airing on September 30, 1977. “She was beautiful and funny — and I love funny,” Marie recalled fondly. “She wasn’t afraid to put herself out there. I learned at a very young age that you should be able to just laugh. Laugh at yourself, don’t take things so seriously. She truly was a brilliant woman. She had her own studio and was incredibly smart. I’d go over to her house and she’d play Scrabble, and I have just really great memories.”
