Marie Osmond Embraces Life After Vegas Residency: Family, Love, And New Projects

How Marie Osmond Sees Her Kids and Grandkids Amid the Pandemic

Now that her Las Vegas residency with brother Donny Osmond has wrapped up, Marie Osmond is ready to enjoy the gift of time. After years of performing, she's stepping into a season of life where family takes center stage. With the holidays just around the corner, this iconic singer and entertainer is all about making memories with her kids and grandkids. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a little extra love—and maybe some gifts—around Christmas?

Marie recently opened up to Closer Weekly, sharing her joy about being a grandma. "Being a grandma is such a blessing. You get all the love because you get to do all the spoiling," she said with a smile. "I absolutely spoil them, but I try not to overdo it with gifts. Christmas is about more than presents—it's about connection and love. But hey, Grandma’s always the fun one, right?"

‪@disneyland is the #HappiestPlaceOnEarth even in the rain! ☔️😁 The Original Osmond Brothers were discovered here, I have performed on many of their big anniversaries like the 20th to the 35th etc. And was honored to perform at the opening of Epcot. @cmnhospitals did our telethon at Disneyland and continues to bless 11 million childrens’ lives every year as we celebrate at Disney World. I love anything Disney! Thank you to my dear friend @therealtonyshepherd for the #BestDayEver with my kids and grandkids!!! ♥️ Make sure you scroll through to see ALL the photos!😁 Have U ever been to #Disneyland?

    Grandma Knows Best? Not Exactly

When it comes to raising her grandkids, Marie takes a hands-off approach. "I don’t want to be that know-it-all grandma," she confessed to Closer Weekly. "Every child and every parent is unique, and I trust my kids to figure things out their way. I just want to be the fun grandma who shows up with hugs and laughter." It sounds like Marie has struck the perfect balance between being supportive and letting her children find their own parenting style.

    Reconnecting With Her Husband

With her newfound freedom, Marie is also focusing on her relationship with her husband, Steve Craig. The two remarried in 2011 after years apart following their 1985 divorce. While they've always cherished their bond, Marie admits that her busy schedule often kept them apart. "For the first time since we’ve been remarried, we can actually sit down together for dinner every night," she gushed. "It’s something I’ve been looking forward to for so long."

    Still Busy, Still Radiant

While Marie may have more free time, don’t expect her to slow down too much. In September, she joined CBS’ daytime talk show The Talk as a host, replacing Sara Gilbert for the show’s 10th season. "I’m thrilled to be part of such a positive, loving team," Marie shared. "Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Eve—they’re all incredible women who truly care for each other. It’s a beautiful environment to be a part of."
