Life Beyond the Spotlight: SJP’s Priorities
Let’s talk about one of Hollywood’s most iconic figures, Sarah Jessica Parker. Sure, she’s known for her dazzling career and unforgettable roles, but when the cameras stop rolling, she’s just like any other mom trying to juggle it all. At 54, Sarah Jessica Parker is one of the busiest women in Tinseltown, but guess what? Being a mom is the job she works hardest at.
“There’s no such thing as winding down. The moment I walk through the door, I’m greeted by a whirlwind of activity,” Sarah told The Telegraph. “There’s so much that needs attention—mostly the kids, their meals, their laundry, their backpacks, their homework. And then there’s the daily battle to get everyone up the stairs, showered, and into bed. Thankfully, my son is pretty self-sufficient these days and runs on his own schedule.”
A Life in Partnership: Matthew Broderick and Family
Sarah has been married to fellow actor Matthew Broderick since 1997, and together they’ve built a beautiful family. They share three wonderful children: son James, who’s now 16, and twin girls, Tabitha and Marion, who are 10. While her career keeps her on the move, Sarah ensures that her family remains her top priority.

“Sometimes, if I have a spare moment, Matthew and I catch up or I call a friend. But honestly, we’re watching less TV these days, and I can’t remember the last time I had the luxury of soaking in a tub just for relaxation,” Sarah admitted. Yet, despite her packed schedule, she always finds time for family.
Family Time: Making It Count
“No matter what project I’m working on, I make it a point to be home for dinner—or at the very least, for the kids’ bedtime,” Sarah explained. “We all enjoy cooking together, especially when the whole family can pitch in. Most meals are made from scratch, and dinner usually consists of a hearty salad, chicken, vegetables, pasta, or even lamb chops. We’re a family of enthusiastic eaters, and mealtime is one of our favorite parts of the day.”

“My kids are my number one priority. I always aim to be there for the spring concert, their recitals, or parent-teacher conferences whenever possible,” Sarah shared. It’s clear that even with her demanding career, she makes every effort to be present for the important moments in her children’s lives.
