Pippa Middleton's Active Baby Routine: Baby Gym and Swimming Lessons

Hey there! You won’t believe this, but Pippa Middleton’s baby boy, Arthur, isn’t just about sleeping and crying all day. At just 11 months old, this little guy is already hitting the baby gym with his mom. Pippa, 36, has been finding creative ways to keep her little one entertained and active.

Why the Baby Gym?

In a recent fitness column for Waitrose Weekend, Pippa opened up about her decision to take Arthur to a baby gym. "Now that Arthur is 11 months old and more mobile, I've been on the lookout for activities beyond just park walks in the pram," she revealed. "Our local baby gym has been an absolute lifesaver. It's this huge space filled with fun, soft objects, playmats, stairs, balls, swings, mini trampolines, and more. It's designed to stimulate and physically engage babies and toddlers in a safe environment."

Pippa isn’t just doing it for Arthur—she actually enjoys these gym sessions herself. "The classes include structured activities that help with movement, balance, and strength," she shared. "There's also free play, which lets Arthur burn off a ton of energy in a safe environment while learning new physical skills. With every visit, I can see his confidence growing."

    Swimming Lessons? Yes, Please!

But wait, there’s more! It turns out Arthur isn’t just working out at the gym—he’s also taking swimming lessons. "Starting my son Arthur swimming at 4 months old has given him so much confidence and enjoyment in the water," Pippa told Waitrose Kitchen. "Now that he's 6 months old, swimming has become one of our favorite activities together. It helps guarantee sound daytime sleeps, and the movement improves his digestion. It’s truly a win-win!"

Professor Greg Whyte, whom Pippa interviewed for the magazine, confirmed that kids can start swimming at any age. "There's really no difference between swimming in water disinfected by chlorine or a salt-based method," he explained. "However, open-water swimming isn’t recommended because of the increased risk of infection."

So, what about Kate Middleton's 1-year-old son, Prince Louis? Do you think he’s already learning how to swim and exercise too? Wouldn’t it be adorable if these cousins had a playdate soon? Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some royal baby bonding!
