Hey there, let’s dive into a little drama from Hollywood’s past. Recently, Henry Winkler stopped by Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and, well, things got interesting. A caller asked Henry about a supposed feud with Tom Hanks, and instead of giving a straightforward answer, Henry did what he does best—dodged the question while still hinting at something deeper.

“What did you say?” Henry joked back to the caller. But guess what? The WWHL fan never got a direct answer out of the 73-year-old actor. It was like pulling teeth, but it definitely left the audience wanting more.

What’s the Beef Between Henry and Tom?

So here’s the backstory. Henry and Tom’s alleged feud dates back to the late '80s when Henry was asked to direct Tom in the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch. Now, you’d think directing a seasoned actor like Tom would be a dream come true, right? Not so fast. According to Henry, things didn’t exactly go as planned.

Henry says he was called into producer Jeff Katzenberg’s office, and it didn’t end well. “You have everything with you? Go home,” were the words he reportedly heard. Oof, that’s gotta sting.

    Life After Turner & Hooch

Now, despite the rough patch, Henry doesn’t have a lot of bad memories about working on Turner & Hooch. He even joked that he got along great with the canine star of the movie. “Love that dog,” he said with a laugh. But when it comes to the film itself, Henry admitted he’s not even sure if he’s watched it from start to finish. “I don’t remember the title of that movie,” he joked, which says a lot.

Interestingly, five years after Turner & Hooch was released, Henry opened up to People magazine. He revealed that his interactions with the dog on set were far better than with Tom. “Let’s just say I got along better with Hooch [the pup] than I did with Turner [Tom],” he said. But hey, that was a long time ago, and we’re sure they’ve both moved on.
