Vanna, who shares Niko and Gigi with her ex-husband George Santo Pietro, gave a heartfelt update on her children’s lives and their unique career aspirations.
From the Game Show Stage to Family Life
At 62 years old, Vanna is proud to watch her kids grow into their own passions. In an exclusive chat with Closer Weekly, she revealed, “My son Niko is 25, and my daughter Gigi is 22. Gigi is graduating from college this year, and Niko is making waves as an organic farmer. He loves nurturing vegetables and fruits—it’s something he truly enjoys. Both of them are carving their own paths, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
While Vanna has spent decades dazzling audiences on television, her kids have chosen entirely different directions for their careers. “They’re not really interested in following in my footsteps,” Vanna shared with a smile. “And that’s perfectly fine. I’m here to support whatever dreams they chase.”

She might end up working in photography or magazines someday, though she’s still figuring it all out. Honestly, it’s like having one foot in the country and the other in the city!”

Vanna Steps In for Pat Sajak
While her kids are thriving in their respective fields, Vanna herself has been busy stepping into a new role. As the Godmother of Carnival Cruise Line’s latest ship, Carnival Panorama, she’s also been filling in for longtime "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak while he recovers from surgery. “It happened so suddenly that I didn’t have much time to prepare. I just had to jump right in without any rehearsals. Carrying a show like that? It’s a lot to take on, especially for someone like me who’s naturally shy and doesn’t talk much,” she admitted to Closer Weekly.
Despite the challenge, Vanna says the experience has been rewarding. “The feedback has been amazing! The fans have been so supportive, and that makes me feel really good. And the best news? Pat Sajak is back at work now!”
