“Of course, there were tears. We tried to keep it together, not wanting to embarrass Sasha in front of her roommates. It was at the end of lunch when we had to say that final goodbye. Once we were in the car—me, Barack, and Malia who joined us—Sasha drove off on her own, giving us that last wave. That’s when the floodgates opened, and we were all sobbing,” Michelle shared with Today's Jenna Bush Hager, capturing the raw emotion of the moment.

Michelle and I are far too young to have daughters who are both almost in college. As a parent, it’s a little overwhelming,” he remarked, echoing the sentiments of countless parents worldwide.
