When Goodbye Led to Hello
Back in February 2017, Tamron Hall said her goodbyes to the Today show and her NBC family. It wasn’t an easy decision, especially when it was revealed that Megyn Kelly would be taking over her timeslot. Fast forward a bit, and Tamron herself eventually left the network. But here’s the twist—this chapter of her life, one filled with uncertainty, actually opened doors to two of the most wonderful things she could’ve ever imagined: her husband, Steven Greener, and her baby boy, Moses.
Reflecting on her journey, Tamron told People magazine, “My story is not one I could’ve ever written or expected. Life has this funny way of surprising you. I never thought I’d have to lose everything to gain even more. But that’s exactly what happened. I lost my spot on the show, but I gained so much more. A husband who cheers me on every step of the way, a beautiful baby boy who looks at me like I’m his whole world, and not just his milk source, and a phenomenal daytime talk show team who genuinely want the best for me.”

The Tamron Hall Show: A New Chapter
With all these blessings in her life, Tamron is ready to share her voice and experiences with the world in a brand-new way. Her syndicated talk show, The Tamron Hall Show, is set to premiere in the fall. It’s an exciting new chapter in her career, and one that feels especially meaningful after everything she’s been through.
Tamron admitted that when she left NBC, she was in a fog. She wasn’t sure what the future held, and it was a tough time. “Two-and-a-half years ago, I walked out of that building in black patent leather boots and a black-and-white jacket, feeling lost,” she said. “I thought, ‘Is this how it goes down?’ But life has a way of surprising you. Sometimes you lose things you think are important, only to realize that something better is right around the corner. You just have to keep going, keep pushing forward.”
The Journey to Motherhood
Tamron welcomed her first child, Moses, on April 25. But the road to motherhood wasn’t easy. At first, she was hesitant to share her pregnancy with the world because of her fears. “I was high-risk, not just because of my age, but due to other medical factors too,” she explained in a recent interview. “My doctor gave me some great advice: ‘This is your body, your health. You share as much or as little of your journey as you want.’ I was terrified that something might happen to the baby, and I’d have to go back and tell everyone it was bad news after everything had gone so well.”

Tamron also revealed that she went through fertility treatments in her 30s, and at one point, she thought she might never have a child. “It was so frustrating,” she said. “I was putting in the work, taking care of my mind and body, but still facing rejection. I kept thinking, ‘What have I done wrong here?’ But somehow, like Rocky, I kept getting up. And now, look where I am.”
It’s truly inspiring to see how Tamron’s journey has turned out. Life has a way of bringing the best things to those who persevere, and Tamron’s story is a perfect example of that.
