Being awake every three hours, just constantly on edge—it was exhausting. But you know what? There’s something so rewarding about it, too. It’s a unique bond that you just can’t put into words." Eva’s honesty shows just how much she’s embraced the highs and lows of motherhood.

Eva Shares Her Little One’s Milestones

Eva, who welcomed baby Santiago with her husband José Bastón back in June 2018, is glowing with pride as she talks about her little one’s latest milestones. “He’s saying ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa,’ and he’s standing now,” she shared excitedly. “He’s not walking yet, but he’s standing. He’s got such a vibrant personality—it’s amazing to watch him grow.” You can practically feel the love radiating from her words.

Is Another Baby on the Way? Not Right Now

While Eva is absolutely thrilled to be a mom, she admitted to the outlet that expanding their family isn’t in the cards for her and her husband right now. The couple celebrated Santiago’s first birthday with a magical trip to Disneyland in late June, and they’re soaking up every moment of this precious time. “Right now, we’re just enjoying the early days with Santi,” she said. And who could blame them? Having one little bundle of joy running around is plenty to keep anyone busy.

Even though being a mom might look easy to outsiders, Eva revealed that her little Santi makes it feel that way. “He’s always with me,” she said last December during an interview with Us Weekly. Eva added that Santi is such a well-behaved boy that he’s even been on set with her while filming the live-action version of Dora the Explorer and directing episodes of Black-ish.

For Eva, blending motherhood with her career has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. “I’m really grateful,” she expressed. “I get to take Santiago to work every day, and it’s been such a beautiful way to strengthen our bond.”
