If you’ve been tuning into The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for years, you might recall Allison DuBois, the real-life psychic who made an appearance among the housewives. But chances are, if her name sounds familiar, it’s because of the fictionalized version of her life portrayed by Patricia Arquette in the hit TV series Medium. Created by Glenn Gordon Caron, the mastermind behind shows like Moonlighting, Now & Again, and Bull, Medium aired from 2005 to 2011. Recently, Patricia Arquette hinted that a reboot might just be on the horizon.
Patricia Arquette Talks About a Possible Reboot
During a lively appearance on The Talk, Patricia was asked about her time as Allison DuBois, the psychic who worked as a consultant for the Phoenix district attorney’s office while juggling motherhood and marriage. The conversation naturally turned to the possibility of a reboot or revival, much like what we’ve seen with shows like Roseanne, Charmed, Magnum, P.I., and Will & Grace. Patricia responded with enthusiasm, saying, “I haven’t been approached about it yet, but I’ve definitely heard some buzz online. I would absolutely consider it. The writing was incredible, and I miss everyone from the show so much.”
Patricia’s Love for the Show Runs Deep
Patricia’s affection for Medium was evident even back in the show’s fifth season when she spoke to The Futon Critic. She admitted that she was as surprised as anyone that the series had lasted so long. “I really loved the material, but I never expected to be doing it for five years,” she shared. Despite the inevitable repetition that comes with playing the same character for an extended period, Patricia found value in it. “I think repetition can be a good thing. It mirrors real life, where you fall into patterns, break through them, and then fall back into them again. It’s part of what makes long-term projects so rewarding. They’re like long-term relationships—challenging but ultimately worthwhile.”

Clearly, Patricia still sees that value today, which makes the idea of a reboot even more exciting for fans.
