Maureen Reflects on Her Close Friendship with Ann B. Davis

Maureen, now 63, spent five unforgettable years as Marcia Brady from 1969 to 1974. Today, she continues to charm audiences, most recently on the HGTV special A Very Brady Renovation, airing September 9th. Recently, she sat down with Closer Weekly to reminisce about her cherished friendship with Ann B. Davis, who portrayed the beloved housekeeper, Alice Nelson. “Oh man, we were so close,” Maureen revealed in an exclusive interview. “We used to fly out to Texas just to hang out. We’d go to dinner, spend quality time together, and even years after the show ended, our bond remained as strong as ever. Ann was truly someone I admired deeply.”

Florence Henderson: A Mentor and a Mother Figure

Maureen also fondly recalls her time with another pivotal figure in her TV family: Florence Henderson, who portrayed Carol Brady. “Florence, of course, we got incredibly close. We shared some truly amazing moments, especially toward the end,” Maureen shared. “I’m so grateful for everything she taught me. Her lessons will always be with me, and she’ll always have a special place in my heart.”

In a heartfelt interview at the HollyRod Foundation’s DesignCare Gala on July 27, she revealed one of the most significant life lessons she learned from her TV mom. “Florence taught me the importance of finding joy—big, beautiful joy,” Maureen said. “She showed me how to embrace life’s blessings, even during tough times.”
