But that’s exactly what’s been happening, according to his wife, Victoria Beckham. In a lighthearted Instagram post, Victoria revealed that David has been absolutely obsessed with constructing a massive Lego Hogwarts castle from the Harry Potter series.

David Beckham’s New Hobby: Building Hogwarts Brick by Brick

Victoria, 45, shared the story on Instagram, giving fans a peek into their family life. She posted a video of David hard at work on the intricate Lego model, pointing out just how dedicated he’s been to the project. “So it’s 9:45, and he was up until 3:30 working on this castle,” Victoria said in her Instagram story. She even playfully asked David how many bags of pieces he had left to assemble. “10!” he confessed, clearly still pumped about the project.

Victoria couldn’t help but caption the series of clips with a touch of humor: “Daddy and daughter day building LEGO AGAIN!” It turns out that David purchased the 6,000-piece Lego Hogwarts set for their youngest daughter Harper’s 8th birthday, but it seems like he’s become equally—if not more—enthralled with the project himself. The goal? To complete the impressive 22-inch-high Hogwarts model, piece by piece.

While David’s Lego obsession might be driving Victoria a little crazy, she’s no stranger to habits that drive her husband up the wall. In a past Instagram post, Victoria gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her New York City hotel room during a press tour for her fashion collaboration with Reebok. The space was filled with clothes and accessories scattered everywhere. “This would be giving David a panic attack right now, a full-on panic attack,” she joked. “It looks like Victoria Beckham threw up everywhere! Designer clothes everywhere.”

Victoria went on to describe the scene: “You can take a little look around at the chaos. So we’ve got one wardrobe full of clothes here. We’ve got another wardrobe full of clothes here. Bit of a mess everywhere.” She admitted that her tidiness—or lack thereof—drives David nuts. “He’s super, super tidy, and I’m a germaphobe. Everywhere has to be super, super clean. But I am a bit messy. What are you going to do?” she laughed.
