There’s no denying that Alison Sweeney is all about her family. As the proud mom of two amazing kids, 14-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old Megan, she’s built her life around nurturing and celebrating their individual talents and dreams. In an exclusive sit-down with Closer Weekly, Alison dives deep into her experiences as a mother, sharing the lessons she’s learned along the way and reflecting on the most fulfilling parts of parenting.
Speaking candidly while promoting her latest movie, Chronicle Mysteries: The Deep End—which premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on August 25—Alison revealed what truly makes her heart sing when it comes to raising her children. “It’s watching your kids flourish, discovering what they’re passionate about, and helping them grow into the best versions of themselves,” she said. “Seeing them find their strengths and celebrating those moments together is just so rewarding.”
Benjamin's Love for Tennis Brings Pride to Alison

One of Alison’s proudest moments comes from watching her son Benjamin excel in tennis. “He’s becoming such a great player—it’s incredible,” she gushed. “He spends so much time outdoors practicing, and I absolutely love that. There’s so much pride in seeing him enjoy something so active and healthy. When he finds success and gains confidence through it, it fills me with so much joy. That’s why I encourage both my kids to chase their dreams and explore their interests.”

Could Acting Be in Megan's Future?
When it comes to her daughter Megan, Alison admits there’s a possibility she might follow in her footsteps and pursue acting. “It’s fascinating because she talks about it all the time,” Alison shared. “But she’s part of this whole new generation—the YouTube generation—so her perspective on acting is completely different from mine. She doesn’t see it the way I did growing up, so we’ll just have to wait and see where her passions take her.”
Still, Alison remains open to whatever path her kids choose. “I honestly don’t know what their plans are right now,” she admitted with a laugh. “They’re definitely not begging me for auditions or anything like that, so we’ll just let them figure it out as they grow older.”
