Former First Lady Laura Bush celebrated her 73rd birthday surrounded by an outpouring of love from her close-knit family. Both her daughter Jenna Bush Hager and her husband, George W. Bush, took to social media to shower her with heartfelt birthday messages, making the occasion extra special.
George W. Bush couldn’t help but gush about his beloved wife on her special day. “Wishing my lovely bride @laurawbush a happy birthday today … and a happy anniversary tomorrow. I’m a lucky man,” he wrote alongside a regrammed photo of Laura from The Bush Center on November 4. “Happy birthday, Mrs. @laurawbush! 🎉🎂 Today, we celebrate Mrs. Bush and the countless lives she has touched through her meaningful work. Family Celebrates Laura Bush in Style

Meanwhile, Jenna Bush Hager added her own unique twist to her mom’s birthday tribute. Instead of simply posting a solo photo of Laura, she chose a picture capturing her mom surrounded by family. Jenna wrote, “Happiest Birthday to my mama @laurawbush! Thanks for being our light — and teaching us the adoration of books and cats. No one holds a baby quite like you.”

Jenna’s Guilt and Laura’s Wisdom
Laura Bush has always been a source of wisdom and strength for her family. This was evident when Jenna Bush Hager confided in her mother during a moment of personal doubt. Jenna had felt a bit guilty about becoming pregnant for the third time while her close friend Hoda Kotb was also trying to expand her family.
“I knew she wanted this baby, so I called my mom,” Jenna revealed on Today. “I said, ‘Barbara, who just got married, and Hoda, they want these babies, and I have this guilt.’ And my mom said, ‘Everybody gets their babies when they’re supposed to.’ My mom and her mom before her struggled with infertility for years, and so I thought that was a beautiful thing to say.”
