Gwen Stefani Reveals the Lesson Her 3 Sons Have Taught Her

Gwen Stefani's Journey Through Motherhood

Over the course of her illustrious career spanning decades, Gwen Stefani has picked up a wealth of knowledge about the music industry. But it wasn't until she stepped into the role of a mother that she truly began to understand herself on a deeper level. In a candid conversation with Shape magazine, Gwen shared some of the valuable lessons she's learned from raising her three sons. This is a side of her that fans don’t often get to see, and it reveals a more personal, relatable side of the star.

At 50 years old, Gwen is the proud mom of Kingston, 13, Apollo, 11, and Zuma, 5. She revealed that one of the most significant things her children have taught her is the importance of organization. "I lived at home until I was 26, then I had a tour manager, a manager, an assistant—you name it. Even on tour, there's someone who has the key to your hotel room," she explained in Shape's upcoming November issue. "But as a mom, you have to be the one in charge. It’s a whole new level of responsibility that’s taught me so much."

"I’m kind of an unusual product of an ordinary California family," she reflected. "My parents met in high school, my mom never worked, and we went to church on Sundays. It's a part of who I am, even though now I get to travel the world and experience so much more."

    A Life Between Two Worlds

While Gwen and her family live in Los Angeles, she's also been enjoying visits to Blake's ranch in Oklahoma. This new chapter in her life has introduced her to a simpler way of living. "Spending time in the middle of America is something I never expected," she admitted. "At the ranch, life is straightforward. We’ve got watermelons that Blake planted and all my wildflowers. It's a refreshing contrast to the hustle and bustle of L.A., although I do keep 20 chickens in my backyard here at home too."
