Hey there, friends! Let’s talk about the holiday vibes coming from the Sussexes. Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry posted a heartwarming message on Instagram this Christmas Day. The couple, along with their adorable baby Archie and Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, are currently enjoying some well-deserved downtime in Canada. They’re thousands of miles away from the rest of the royal family, but they’re still spreading holiday cheer to everyone around the globe.
In their sweet Instagram post, they wrote, “Wishing you all a very merry Christmas,” and added some festive emojis to spice things up—like a Christmas tree, a jolly Santa, and a snowman. Oh, and don’t forget the adorable Santa hat on their monogram. It’s a small touch, but it adds a lot of charm to their message. It’s like they’re saying, “We’re celebrating Christmas with you, even if we’re far away.”

Why Canada This Year?
This festive message comes just days after the world learned that Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, would be heading to Canada with their 7-month-old son for the holidays. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed this news to Us Weekly, saying, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
And guess what? They’re not just staying in any old place. According to Closer Weekly, the royal trio, along with Doria Ragland, is staying with Meghan’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney, and her husband, Ben Mulroney, in Toronto. For those who don’t know, Meghan used to live in Toronto while filming the hit show Suits. It’s like a little trip down memory lane for her.
Christmas the Sussex Way
“It was exactly what Meghan wanted,” a source close to Jessica exclusively told Closer. “She wanted Archie’s first Christmas to be low-key and mellow where they can all hang out in their pajamas in the living room and laugh and joke—without it being very stuffy with the rest of the royal family.” Sounds like Meghan’s got her priorities straight, doesn’t she?
And Harry? Well, he’s on board too. “Harry was excited too, and the fact that they’re still in the Commonwealth made it much easier for them to escape without having to answer a lot of questions from everyone else,” the insider added. It’s like they’ve found the perfect balance between tradition and relaxation.

First-Ever Family Christmas Card
Just before Christmas Day, the Sussexes shared their very first Christmas card as a family of three. They chose to put Archie front and center, showing just how much he means to them. The card, which was released digitally on social media by their charity, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, features a heartwarming image of the royal baby with his parents smiling lovingly in the background. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate their first Christmas as a family.
