Queen Elizabeth And Prince Philip: Cherishing Every Moment Together

Queen Elizabeth’s life through the years - The Washington Post

As Prince Philip continues to focus on his health, Queen Elizabeth is making every effort to spend as much time as possible with her beloved husband. Their bond has been the foundation of their lives for decades, and now, more than ever, the Queen is determined to cherish every moment they have together.

Behind the Scenes: The Queen's Deep Concern for Philip

“Last year, the Queen and Philip didn’t get much time to be together. She knows that time is precious now, and she’s holding on to every second they have left,” a royal insider exclusively shared with Closer Weekly. On December 20, the Duke of Edinburgh, then 98, was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment related to a pre-existing condition, according to an official statement. Thankfully, he was released after just four days, but the Queen remains deeply concerned about his ongoing health.

Another source recently told Closer Weekly that the Queen is genuinely worried. “She can’t imagine life without her husband by her side. It’s a thought that haunts her every day,” the source revealed. While Philip is back home, he’s still on the road to recovery, and the Queen is doing everything in her power to ensure his comfort and well-being.

Philip's Health: A Journey of Resilience

“Prince Philip has been battling health issues for quite some time now, but things took a turn for the worse towards the end of last year,” an insider revealed. “He’s out of the hospital—for now—and is spending this precious time with Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham over the next few weeks.”

“Philip has always preferred the tranquility of the countryside over the bustling city life of London. Even though he’s been put on bed rest, he feels most at home at Sandringham,” the source added. For years now, Philip has been taking it easy, especially since he officially stepped down from his public duties in August 2017.

A Royal Retreat: Philip's Decision to Step Back

“His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has made the decision that he will no longer carry out public engagements starting from this autumn. The Duke has the full support of The Queen in making this decision. Prince Philip will attend previously scheduled engagements between now and August, both individually and accompanying The Queen. After this period, The Duke will not be accepting new invitations for visits and engagements, although he may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time,” the official statement read at the time.
