A Final Chapter for Growing the Family
Hey there, friends. So, Linda Perry and Sara Gilbert have decided that their family is complete, and they won’t be expanding it further. You know, when you hear a story like this, it’s a reminder that every family has its own unique journey. Linda, at the spry age of 54, shared some insights with Us Weekly while attending the Equality Now Make Equality Reality Gala on November 19, 2019. She revealed, “Sara can’t have any more kids. That part’s done. We barely managed to have this one.” The couple, who got hitched in 2014, welcomed their son Rhodes in 2015. And, of course, Linda has stepped into the role of stepmom to Levi, 15, and Sawyer, 12, from Sara’s previous relationship with Ali Adler.

Passion for the Younger Generation
Here’s the thing, Linda Perry has a heart for the younger generation. She told Us Weekly, “I love kids. I’m always doing panels. I’m always trying to teach kids. My artist friends are always bringing their 13-year-olds to my studio, like, ‘OK! Do your thing!’ So it’s fun. There are always kids. There’s always somebody that needs you.” It’s clear that Linda and Sara are not only committed to their immediate family but also to the broader community. The Grammy-winning musician has even brought a new energy into Sara’s life, transforming traditions and celebrations.
Before Linda entered the picture, Sara’s household was a little more low-key. “There was no Valentine’s Day, there was no Halloween, there was no Christmas, there was jack s—t in that family before I showed up,” Linda joked. “I introduced the kids to Halloween, Christmas — it’s a Jewish family but I brought Christmas in. … I’m basically pushing my traditions.” It’s a beautiful blend of cultures, and the family is all the better for it. In fact, Sara’s daughter even made a special appearance at her mom’s final episode of her popular CBS daytime talk show — she even sang a heartfelt tune!
