Life just keeps getting sweeter for Elizabeth Hurley! The iconic actress recently received some exciting news about her son Damian. The 17-year-old was named "sexiest offspring" in a poll conducted by People magazine. Imagine how proud a mom would feel hearing that about her kid, right? Elizabeth, at 54, is no exception. Speaking exclusively to Closer Weekly during the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund Fashion Gala, she couldn’t hide her excitement.
“I didn’t know that, but I am of course incredibly proud of my son and everything he does,” she shared, her voice brimming with maternal pride. The event was a perfect backdrop for her to reflect on her journey as a mother and how far Damian has come.

Elizabeth's journey as a mother hasn’t been an easy one, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. Damian, her only child, was born from a brief relationship with Steve Bing back in 2001. Although their relationship didn’t last, Elizabeth has remained committed to family. She's built a beautiful tradition of celebrating the holidays with her loved ones.
“We go home. All my family tends to come to my house, and I do a lot of cooking,” she explained with a warm smile. “I’m very tired by the end of the holidays, but it’s my favorite time of year, of course. I love it.” Her dedication to creating these special moments shows how much family means to her.
Putting Family First
This isn’t the first time Elizabeth has spoken glowingly about Damian. She once revealed that she took a step back from Hollywood to focus on her son. “Looking after my son became my No. 1 task, and it was a joy to have someone else on whom to focus,” she told Closer Weekly in an exclusive interview. At 36, Elizabeth realized she had spent too much time worrying about herself. Damian changed all that.
Elizabeth’s decision to step away from the spotlight allowed her to launch her own swimwear collection in 2015. It was a move that gave her the flexibility she needed to balance her career and family life. “I stopped doing movies and TV for the first eight years of his life, and I don’t regret it for a moment,” she said. “I always put him first.”
